LaSER’s Guiding for Good Initiative

The Chingford Rainbows, Brownies and Guides all worked on a lot of Guiding For Good!

The 14th Guides helped the I Love South Chingford Volunteers tend the flower beds in the high street.  The volunteers have invited them back to help in South Chingford Memorial Park in the summer.

The 9th Chingford Rainbows held a fundraising event for the Waltham Forest pet foodbank as part of LaSER Guiding for Good initiative. The Rainbows raised money by holding a non-uniform meeting and took in donations, from this money they were able to purchase the food pictured.

The 9th Chingford Brownies went Litter picking on The Green in Station Road, Chingford, which they absolutely loved.

The 6th Chingford Guides took part in LaSER’s Guiding for Good initiative in October 2025 by buying items for the local food Bank on a budget.  This activity helped them complete the Guide UMA Savvy Shopper.  The Lead Volunteer for the Chingford branch of ‘Eat or Heat’ Debbie Watson, took the donations to distribute locally.  Debbie is also a volunteer Leader at the 4th Chingford Brownies.  A very busy lady.

1st Goodmayes Guides and 5th Seven Kings Rainbows & Brownies collected 14 bags of rubbish, supported by Redbridge Borough Council with litter pickers, safety gear and support! Thanks Redbridge Council!

Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. ’
